Geographic
- Middle Colony
- The colony was split into East and West Jersey
- In 1702 the colony was merged into one royal colony
- The colony lies in between the Hudson and Delaware Rivers
- Large shoreline that allowed for easy transportation of people and goods
- The soil was fertile due to the Northern Glaciers
- The growing season was longer than other colonies due to ample rain and sunshine
- Farming was ideal due to such conditions
- There was easy access to wild life so trapping and hunting were other viable food sources.
